Bud Mayer began Mayer’s Tax Service in the 1960’s. Bud’s son Ron Mayer took over the business when Bud retired.

Kristen Marshall and Donna Jones acquired Mayer’s Tax Service in 2005 when Ron Mayer retired. Originally Mayer’s Tax Service was only open from January through April 15th each year and only provided income tax services.

Kristen and Donna have expanded the business to include bookkeeping, payroll, sales and property tax preparation, consulting and other personal and small business needs. Bill Lynn, a key employee, has been with the company since Bud Mayer owned the company.

Prior to joining Mayer’s Tax Service, Donna Jones started out working for a family tax and bookkeeping business. She then went to work for a regional CPA firm in 1990 where she earned her CPA license. From there Donna went to work for a smaller CPA company that provided a more “personal” touch.
